The Lancaster® K-Lab Mixer was developed as a rugged mixer to economically meet the needs of most laboratory, prototype, or small production work. The K-Lab® has the same counter-current mixing design as all Lancaster® Mixers with the clockwise rotating pan bringing material to the counter clockwise spinning rotor. The rotor and pan speed are infinitely variable and the mixer can be tilted from horizontal to 30 degrees. These features, combined with the rugged construction and the various styles of rotors available, make the Lancaster® K-Lab the mixer of choice for almost any type of batch mixing. The separate control pedestal conveniently positions all controls for easy operation of all mixer functions. Included in the control panel are separate motor amp meters for monitoring the current input to both the rotor and the pan. Also included is an easily set timer which begins timing when the rotor is started and automatically shuts down both the rotor and pan when the time period ends. The mixer head, with the stainless steel mixing rotor and side wall scraper attached, is raised and lowered using a linear actuator operated by a reversing switch on the control console. A similar system tilts the mixer. The 12" diameter stainless steel pan is readily removable for easy cleaning and batching. Additional pans can be used for prebatching and cleaning to reduce total cycle time when greater production is desired. Pan heating is an available option. Experimental testing is available in our mixing test lab. Please inquire about our free testing programs. |
