Kercher Machine Works, Inc. began as a repair facility in 1946. It now offers a wide variety of engineering, machining, fabricating, painting, electrical, and assembly contract services. Our 75,000 square foot facility contains over 100 machine tools and welders including CNC machining centers, turning centers, and laser cutting.

Although much of our equipment is capable of high volume production, many of our jobs involve small quantity, specialized applications, as well as repair and rebuilding work. We also have machine design and engineering services with our own onsite engineering staff. We can provide you with the parts you need or we can take your idea and design and make the parts, assemble the items, including controls, and ship the item directly to your customer. We can handle small piece machining jobs and large multi-ton welding fabrications and assemblies. Our experience has helped many diversified industries throughout our over 50 year history.

Laser Cutting Services

Our Laser Cutting Center adds a new dimension to job shop material processing. Kercher Machine Works, Inc. has provided laser cutting services since 1985. With a 0.005" diameter beam of light, we can cut almost any material: 3/4" thick steel, plastic, copper, wood, gasket material - and we can do it repeatedly, without distortion to .002" accuracy. For cutting Stainless Steel, hi-pressure inert nitrogen is used for a silver edge, no post-process cut. Nitrogen is also used for cutting flammable materials such as certain gasket materials.

Our new Swiss-built, high power, high precision laser has dual 60" x 120" shuttle tables. This provides us with high production capabilities; however, the primary focus for our laser work is on high precision and high quality laser cutting. In many applications we are able to eliminate further machining requirements that were normally required after other laser or other cutting methods.
